Submissions for Canary
Submissions for Canary are open year round. Our theme is the
environmental crisis and the losses of species and habitat that are a
result of this ongoing disaster. We are looking for a high level of
craft, the specific rather than the general, the instance that makes a
powerful statement rather than broad political diatribe. We accept:
Poetry (five poems max)
Essays and short fiction (1500 words or so max)
Previously published work is fine; be sure to provide acknowledgment information.
Simultaneous submissions are fine.
